“Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible.”
Frank Zappa broke every rule in the book. His quote encapsulates the spirit behind all subcultural movements, from 70s Punk music to 90s Acid House. We founded Public Pressure in 2015 with that same spirit. An online magazine was born to support emerging artists and labels in the face of a streaming industry turning music into a disposable commodity. Today, Public Pressure’s mission is to leverage innovative technologies and formats to create a new economic model, where artists can bring back value to their music and be chased rather than do the chasing.
